The framework asks AI work to behave more like a reviewable quality system: define the task, register evidence, expose assumptions, compare alternatives, preserve uncertainty and control permission-to-rely.
Academic foundation
Walter completed a 1976 MAppSc thesis on energy usage and environmental impact, comparing energy systems in the United States, Japan, Canada and Australia using Sankey energy-flow diagrams. That earlier work informed his later physics-first interest in inefficiency, waste heat and causal mechanism.
